MOUNDRIDGE—Derek and Becky King will be serving community connections on Election Day.
On Nov. 3, the King Family will be offering homemade, bicycle-pedaled ice cream for free.
“Derek and I have decided to facilitate some joy and community connection during what has felt like a long, negative election season,” Becky King said when announcing this event. “Anyone and everyone is invited to come.”
The Kings will begin serving at noon, and they plan to keep dishing up ice cream until 8 p.m.
“Or until the ice cream runs out,” Beck King said.
The event will take place in the King Family’s driveway, located at 316 N. Wedel Ave. in Moundridge.
“Bring your own bowl and spoon if you’re able,” Becky King said. “If not, we have some available.”
During the summer months, the Kings also host “Wedel on Wednesday,” which is their homemade ice cream-fueled community-building effort that was featured on Plains Pilot Radio in July.
