For book lovers, there are few greater joys than being able to browse a whole new set of titles.
While library collections are great for the community and often add new book titles every month, it can be easy to grow tired of seeing the same selection every visit.
Luckily, Moundridge Public Library has a solution to make sure there’s always something new to read: SCKLS Rotating Books.
The South Central Kansas Library System (SCKLS) partners with academic and public libraries to bring patrons temporary loans that enhance a library’s current collection.
For Moundridge Public Library, that means bringing new rotating books every August and March. While the books come from SCKLS, they’re able to be checked out like any normal library book.
With a Moundridge Public Library card, anyone can borrow from the SCKLS Rotating Books collection.
Each book is checked out for three weeks and can be renewed.
This collection has a little something for everyone, from junior picture books to young adult to adult fiction.
There’s a variety of different genres, from graphic novels to science fiction to romance.
There’s even a selection of Spanish literature.
For fans of non-fiction, there is an exciting assortment to choose from. History, religion, gardening and cookbooks are just a few of the non-fiction topics SCKLS has offered in the past.
Large Print and audiobooks are also included for patrons searching for other formats.
With SCKLS Rotating Books, you never know what kind of gems you’ll find.
