Aug. 27 marks the first day of school for USD 423 Moundridge schools. As students enter their buildings and classrooms, they will be greeted by a few fresh faces as the district has brought on new teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year. Here we highlight those additions to the faculty and staff.
LINDSEY BEGNOCHE: Fifth Grade Science and Math
Background:
Seven years as a teacher. Three teaching 3rd Grade at Chapman Elementary, and four teaching Kindergarten at Hickman Mills in Kansas City. Graduated from Tabor College, and got my Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Kansas State.
Family:
Married to Matt. Have three kids – Brecklyn (14), Garrett (12), and Witton (8).

MATTISON BOOTH: Fifth Grade ELA & Social Studies
Background:
I made my way to Kansas from Henderson, Nebraska to attend Bethel College. I graduated from there with a degree in elementary education and an endorsement in special education. Later, I got a master’s degree from Emporia State in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in leadership. The 26-27 school year will be the start of my 10th year of teaching. I spent eight years at Remington and one year at Hesston.
Family:
I met my husband, Josh, at Bethel College, and we have been married for eight years. Josh works in North Newton as a financial consultant at Everence. We have lived in Moundridge for the past four years. Both of us grew up in small, rural communities and wanted to instill those values in our own family. We have two children who keep us busy, along with two pups that I adore. Moundridge has been a natural fit, and it has been nice to live in the same community in which we go to church and now work in.
Looking Forward To Most This Year:
This coming school year brings a lot of excitement! Some things I am most excited for is building relationships with so many of the faces that I see around town and getting to be in the same school district as my kids. Go Wildcats!
WYATT DICKINSON: High School Math
Background:
I have taught science for one year and coached track & field for two years at Peabody-Burns. I graduated from Tabor College with a triple major in Biology, Secondary Education, and Exercise Science.
Family:
My wife, Emily, is a preschool teacher in Hillsboro, and we have two daughters, Jada (3) and Leah (2). Mr. and Mrs. Robb are my first cousins, and I am excited to join them and Jake, Gabby and Ellie here in Moundridge! I love to do any and all things with my family: play disc golf and golf, serve as a Junior High youth sponsor at our church, and travel to new states and national parks.
Looking Forward To Most This Year:
I am most looking forward to returning to the natural role of mentorship in the classroom and through coaching. I am very excited to be a Wildcat!
KATIE REGEHR: Registered Nurse
Background:
Graduated from HCC as an RN in 2009.
Family:
Live in Galva. Married and have three kids. Favorite thing to do is watch/attend my kids’ sporting events.

Meeting all of the students and staff at the Moundridge schools and building new relationships.
AIMEE REIMER: Fourth Grade ELA & Social Studies
Background:
I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in special education. In December 2025, I graduated from FHSU with my master’s degree in special education. This will be my 17th year in education, with 16 of those years spent working in special education. I spent one year as a fourth-grade teacher. I have taught in Chapman, Greeley, Colorado, Hays, and Moundridge. I have worked at Moundridge for the past four years as the special education teacher at Moundridge Middle School and am excited to be transitioning to fourth grade.
Family:
I am married to my husband, Caleb, and we have a blended family with five children: Paul, Maddox, Hadlee, Milo, and Aria. Paul and Hadlee live in Texas and are in 7th and 5th grade. Maddox is a 6th grader and Milo is a 3rd grader in Moundridge, and Aria just turned 3. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors at the lake, kayaking, watching movies and listening to music.

I am most excited about getting to know my new students and meeting the new staff members. I am excited to take on a new role and build new relationships with students and staff.
